Sihanoukville’s Koh Russey will house a fully functional island luxury resort complex by 2019, when the Koh Russey West Resort opens its doors.
A collaborative effort between investment group CityStar, hotel operator Alila and property consultancy CBRE, the Koh Russey West Resort will offer about 200 villas and apartment duplexes spanning 70 hectares.
“It shall place Sihanoukville as a destination of choice for luxury travellers who are already enjoying this brand [Alila] in Indonesia, Oman, India and soon China,” said Halim Bohli, CityStar’s Koh Russey West Resort asset manager.
Also known as Bamboo Island, Koh Russey is situated 3km from Otres Beach and is a popular tourist spot owing to its jungle scenery and pristine beaches.
The development will have 49 two-floor duplex apartments, 15-four-bedroom villas, 102 one-bedroom villas and 18 two-bedroom villas.
The one-bedroom villa will start from $480,000, inclusive of a 42-day complimentary usage per annum and a guaranteed yield of 6 percent for five years.
The two-bedroom villas, four-bedroom villas, and duplexes will cost $770,000, $2,050,000 and $490,000 respectively.
